CHAIN Technology Development (“the Company,” or “we”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data collected and processed by our offices in both Hong Kong and Singapore (including through our website and/or subscription processes) in accordance with the applicable local data protection laws, including the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO, Cap. 486, Laws of Hong Kong SAR) and the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and process the following types of personal data as necessary for providing our services and fulfilling our business operations:

  • We make reasonable efforts to ensure all personal data is accurate, complete, up-to-date, and relevant for the purpose it is used.
  • Personal data is retained only as long as necessary or as required by law. Data needed only for statistics/research will be anonymized.
  • Right of Erasure: You may request erasure of your data if it is no longer required for its purpose or upon withdrawal of consent, per Section 26 of the PDPO and similar rights under the PDPA.

(c) Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

  • Personal data is used solely for the stated or directly related purposes, or as permitted/required by law.
  • We do not sell or rent personal data.
  • Data may be disclosed to authorised service providers (such as IT contractors or cloud providers) for processing, under strict confidentiality and with appropriate safeguards. Such disclosures may occur within or outside of Hong Kong/Singapore, but only with adequate protection measures to ensure comparable data protection levels.
  • Data may be shared with service providers under strict confidentiality and safeguards, within or outside of Hong Kong/Singapore
  • Cross-border data transfers are done only with adequate protection measures to ensure your data receives comparable protection.
  • Direct marketing: We conduct direct marketing only upon receiving your explicit consent. You can opt out anytime by contacting us.

(d) Security of Personal Data

  • Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a strictly “need-to-know” basis.
  • Security measures (physical, electronic, procedural) are applied and reviewed regularly.
  • Staff receive regular training and follow clear security guidelines.
  • Data Breach & Complaints: If you suspect a data breach or wish to lodge a privacy complaint, contact our Data Protection Office promptly. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, or or the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), Singapore.

(e) Transparency

  • This Privacy Policy and relevant practices are published and updated on our website.
  • Any major changes will be communicated clearly to affected users in a timely manner.

(f) Data Access, Correction, and Deletion

  • You have the right to access or correct your personal data, or to withdraw consent for its use, in both Hong Kong and Singapore.
  • Requests (including erasure) should be made via email to privacy@chaintechdev.com. We may ask you to verify your identity.
  • If a request is refused, we will provide reasons and log the refusal per statutory requirements.

(g) Children’s Privacy

  • Our website and services are not intended for or directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 18 without such consent, we will take prompt steps to delete the information and terminate any associated account.
