As one of the fast-growing start-ups in the Hong Kong Science Park, CHAIN Technology Development was proudly invited to participate in the Innovative Technology Day co-organized by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC). The Innovative Technology Day 2018 marked the launch of the online platform for Innovation and Technology (I&T) collaboration “E&M InnoPortal”, which aims at matching the needs of government departments for applying new technologies with I&T projects by start-ups like CHAIN.
At the Innovative Technology Day held at the EMSD Headquarters on 29 June 2018, 10 start-ups from HKSTP’s Incu-Tech Programme were invited to participate. Each start-up presented its latest research work on a range of different specialized subjects. CHAIN showcased its Hybrid Reality Platform (HRP), a Smart City management system, which can be installed in the Ultra-Touch Table to provide stronger user engagement in collaborative applications including data analysis and information sharing.
Jackie Wong, Business Development Manager at CHAIN Technology Development, gave a speech at the Innovative Technology Day. She demonstrated how to visualize and manage the IoT data in Smart City by Hybrid Reality Platform. “HRP is not only capable of showing IoT data and BIM models, but also providing actionable intelligence for facilities and estates management businesses.” Jackie said.
“HRP can serve as a centralized dashboard that can bring information together from multiple systems and databases, enabling a facilities manager to access all of the information in one portal,” said Wisdom Chan, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of CHAIN. “With the functions that dashboard offers such as drill down on maps, and provide a truly holistic view of the building operations, it can be an excellent tool for facilities management organisations to optimize energy, water and building performance.”
